born in Heidelberg, studied computer science in Berlin and is working since the mid 90s as a internationally reknown "motor" in independent culture and media projects. A member of the botschaft, and co-founder of "Radio Internationale Stadt" and "Nettime", and co-organized the "Hybrid Workspace" at Documenta X. He is a co-founder of "Klubradio", and bootlab. In 2003, he co-initated reboot.fm, a free cultural radio in Berlin.
