CTM/DISK presents two of its screening programs at the film and video festival Projet Diligence in Nice, France:
[Klipzona reloaded] is a screening program that compiles music clips from Eastern Europe produced between 1970 and 2003. The screening presents a historical overview of the clip production of the last decades with examples from Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republik, Yugoslavia, Serbia, Croatia, Czechoslovakia. It includes works from Zbigniew Rybczyński, Borghesia, Laibach, Ecstasy of St. Theresa, Belgradeyard Soundsystem, Octex a.o. The screening has been curated by Natalie Gravenor and Oliver Baurhenn in co-operation with B-Film + Digital Vision Festival for CTM.04.
[berlin remixed] presents videoclips that deal with Berlin’s Alexanderplatz and its surrounding. Several Berlin based visual artists have been invited to create figurative clips that are based on material shot on this paradigmatic square. The Alexanderplatz is a symbol of past and present architectural and socio-political utopias, which find their resonance in the presented artistic works. Most of the participating artists are known as Vjs in Berlin’s club scene and have presented their work at past editions of the CTM-festival. The screening is framed by two works by artists closer to the fine arts field and that mark a specific chronology from the early nineties to 2004.
With works by: jpech, visomat av, Philip Geist, Mathias Haerenstam, Martin Proffitlich, John Dekron, Eve Hurford, monitor.automatique, Safy, Piedro Sanguineti & Markus Schneider.
