One of the greatest ‘Fado’ singers born in Portugal but raised in the world, Lula Pena has become somewhat of a myth. And all sort of stories about a ‘reclusive and reluctant diva’ transpired in these twelve years that took her to record again. “Troubadour”, her second album, crosses genres and suggests ‘Fado’ as a sort of palimpsest that enables the listener to discover all music. She sings in Portuguese (including Brazilian Portuguese), Spanish, French and English, with her acoustic guitar and a multitude of ghosts.
Local support by Telebossa feat. Nicholas Bussmann (cello) and the brazilian composer and musician Chico Mello (git, vox). Telebossa is going to release her debut album 2011 on the Berlin label Staubgold.
