DISK Session 06: O.BLAAT & ANNE WELLMER |
Date: February 21, 2006
Time: 9 pm
DISK Session 06 brings together two musicians that share a strong interest in exploring sound through a variety of approaches and formats: Both, Japanese sound artist O.blaat based in NYC, and dutch sound artist/composer Anne Wellmer, recently relocated to Berlin, deliver stringent, abstract improvised minimalism attentive to the smallest of sounds. O.blaat's and Wellmer interests meet in their joint sense for experimentation, their affinity towards technology and software, their favour for improvisation and the fact that they both engage in many collaboration projects with changing musicians and artists. Besides music performances, both artists also work on sound installations and networked performances.
