Autokolor is the alias of Berlin based Timm Ringewaldt, born in 1971. Ringewaldt lives in Berlin where he studied visual communication. He has been working with visual media since his childhood. Dissecting images and rearranging pixels in new ways became his pleasure nowadays. His interactive installations play with their spectators and the linear flow of time. Mainly working with self-shot footage, his style is inspired by pop-art, cubism, but also by the aesthetics of surveillance camera-images. Lately his projects focused on theatre and architecture. Performances as visual artist took him around Europe. His work was shown at international festivals. Commercial projects ensure his bread and butter.
