Camp Cogito is the pseudonym of Katja Stier, born in 1968 in Heidelberg, Germany. She studies design and art history at the university of Lüneburg and works as artist both in Germany and Switzerland. Since early 2002 she lives in Zürich. The videoworks of Camp Cogito inscenate everyday images in a new perspective. Sometimes it is only a new angle of vision, sometimes simply by changing the speed of the video-sequences, and thus throw an unexpected eye on the world that surrounds us. Most works of camp cogito emerge from collaborations with musicians (such as sad rockets, bergheim 34, Jamie Lidell, Steinbrüchel).
