New Yorker Melissa Logan, Australian Alex Murray-Leslie, and Munich native Kiki Moorse founded Chicks On Speed (COS) in 1997 after they met at a bar near Munich's Art Academy. Although the Electronic pop/multimedia trio even entered the German dance charts for 3 months with their version of "Kaltes Klares Wasser", performed at the Erricson Dance Awards, Love Parade and Top of The Pops and have a few videos receiving high rotation on MTV and VIVA it never lost it´s art backgound. On their latest cd "99 Cent" wich appeared on their own label Chicks On Speed Records the deconstructing and feminist-leaning project picked out pop capitalism as a central theme. Besides COS diversified through making clothes, doing graphic design for magazines, painting boob monsters on the exterior of a building in Melbourne, Australia, playing for 5 minutes in front of the prince of Norway in a park in moss and hosting a weekly Berlin radio show.
