Richard Coleman Devine comes from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He records for both Miami, Florida, USA hip-hop/electronica label Schematic and its London-based correlative Warp Records. From a studio in his parents" home, Devine began orchestrating digital debris into astonishing machine funk. For the most part, Devine creates his intricate, restless future music on machines that are purposefully built for him, eschewing usual, off-the-shelf technology with the assertion that "If there are any limitations to my music, I want them to be in my mind not my equipment." Deliberately overloading his music with excessive detail, Devine formulates tracks for which "Humans don't have enough joints to dance to."
