DJ Maxximus aka DIN-ST was first introduced to drum & bass and hardcore in 1991, where his love affair with bass music began. In 1994, after countless raves, he began producing his own music, releasing on labels such as Ambush, Kool.Pop, Digital Hardcore Recordings, Pias, Tresor, Firm, Schematic, Mental Groove Recordings, and Warp. After meeting Ghostfader in London in 2000, the two artists collaborated on several productions, after which DJ Maxximus released the Versace Armani vs. Mercedes Bentley, 12” on Warp in 2001. Next to playing live sets and DJ-sets around the world, DJ Maxximus is runs his own party series in Berlin, titled Bass the World!
