Relja Bobić is one of the founders of the Belgradeyard Sound System collective, through which he has been active on the Serbian and international scene of music and independent culture since 1998. Besides the radio show of the same name, which has reached 400 editions (2000-2009), he co-founded the Dis-patch Festival of cutting-edge music and related art in 2002, which presented 300+ artists from more than 20 countries to the local audiences over the course of its 10-year life-span, with programs which were unique not just in the context of Serbia, but the entire region.
Dis-patch continues to function as a curatorial/production unit, which realizes programs and artistic projects around the world, collaborating with many like-minded initiatives and artists. Besides the festival itself, throughout the past decade a number of side-projects and guest appearances have been presented, including the event series
Post-Piano,
Synaesthetics,
Soundscapes, the nomadic
ViceVerse project or the
Yardstyle club nights, dedicated to contemporary derivatives of bass music.
As a performer he was part of the Belgradeyard band, which played at numerous festivals and toured Europe twice, but DJing has been his constant passion since 1999. Initially as Belgradeyard Sound System together with
Piece of Shh… and nowadays under the DJ Moodswinger alias, his club sets focus on his favorite bass styles, old and new, but otherwise he also DJs eclectic sets for special contexts.
