DJ Officer, Officer stands up to a steady career of 15 years as an underground disc jockey and radio show host (SNIPER, Audio Ginseng, KQSM, NOVO NIVO) in Berlin, Western Europe and Ghana. His style is instantly recognisable, his preacher-like voice fuses silliness and irony with a deep understanding of popular music culture. He has dubbed the term "Die geile Mucke der Elenden" (shoddily translated with "The wicked music of the miserables") for his distinctive selection of Eurodance, Neodisco, Blackmetal and "Deutsche Schlagermusik" (German mainstream music). He shuns "tastefulness" and advocates an almost "Balearic" freestyle, without ever giving in to genres like "Atzenmusik". As a civilian, he works as cultural journalist and lives in Berlin.
Last minute update: Because DJ Officer, Officer came down with a findish disease to his neural system, he had to be replaced on short notice. His long time partner in producing audioplays and radio programs, Paul "Paulator" Paulun, will take over the place behind the audiodesk at tonights event. Paulun is a sound research engineer, a field recording artist, an audio collector, a writer on the most imaginable diverse topics within the spectrum, and much more. In the context of tonights event he is a DJ who has taken the long and winding road that lead him from high end audiophile to the truly "dark side" even below POP, as it is defined by DJ Officer, Officer's "Die geile Mucke der Elenden" ("The wicked music of the miserables"), a style which is despised by almost everybody around.
