Starting out as a 16-year-old thrash drummer in central Massachusetts’ garages and all-ages clubs, Drumcorps (AKA Aaron Spectre) is now Berlin's newest answer to break/grind-core. Not just another kid senselessly mashing up heavy metal, but an artist who takes a lifelong obsession with grindcore and a relentlessly innovative approach to breakcore and seamlessly merges the two.
At the age of 23 he moved to Berlin and rumbling through the squats he discovered a thriving breakcore underground, a subterranean network fiercely hanging on to the last vestiges of punk rock. He began playing parties and touring across Europe and North America, and his pioneering sound has gained him much-lauded performances at Europe's largest breakcore and drum&bass parties.
2005 saw his debut 10" on Bong Ra's new Kriss label. In 2006 he published his first full length album Grist
on Cockrockdisco/Ad Noiseam, for which he was given an "Award of Distinction"honorary mention at the 2007 Ars Electronica.
