Umair Haque studied neurology at McGill University in Montréal. In 2003 he did an MBA in Business Strategies at the London Business School, and in 2004 began his PhD on Strategy and Innovation at Oxford. His Bubblegeneration project encompasses research on the potential and effects of strategic innovations in economics, politics and culture. In the course of his research he made an intensive study of structural problems in the music industry. Currently he is the director of the Havas Media Lab in New York.
