boris d. hegenbart-matsui is the founder of the [#/TAU]-project. [#/TAU], established in 1996, was from the early beginning a project which did combine electronic with human sounds. From a background in dub, he is now most known for his fine sound-poetry. The sound-material includes interviews, field-recordings, pure synthetic generated waves and some crunchy 9kHz-atmosphere. [#/TAU] performs live improvised solo-pieces with processed spoken-words or together with non-electronic musicians.
In "ebenen-20000", several planes of sound are moved extremly slowly through the hall like pieces on an assembly line. Density, structure and size of each plane is different and determined. When a plane stops, layering can occur in which more complex sounds are created. The structure of the piece is determined by the movements of the sounds and the new resulting sound-combinations.
