Hemment, Drew
Drew Hemment is Associate Director of ImaginationLancaster, and founder and Director of Futuresonic / FutureEverything, the UK's leading festival for digital arts and culture, established 1995. His work has been covered prominently by New York Times, BBC and NBC, he has served on many prominent international Art Juries including UNESCO DigiArts, and he was awarded an Honorary Mention at Prix Ars Electronica 2008. DJ and event organiser at reggae blues, warehouse parties and clubs in the early UK dance scene in the late 1980s, involved as organiser and DJ in the seminal 'Blackburn parties' said to be UK dance culture's equivalent of Woodstock.
