Christopher Just is a master of disguise and wry humor. After starting out with the Viennese NDW band, Kranke Erdbeeren, he quickly went on to win the 1998 World Cup music award with his first track,
Wenn der Toni mit dem Polster und der Edi mit dem Finger. Peter Votava and Just comprise the prankster-duet Ilsa Gold, while solo and adopting many names, Just occasionally releases 80s Electro Trash on the Gigolo label as Punk Anderson, Retro-Hardcore on his own Petra label or, in the shape of up-tight electronics tinkerer Gerhard, or the people’s raver Roy Edel he releases on Austrian label Wiener Stadtwerke. As Christopher Just he tunes the motor of Ecstasy Club Hits, Disco Rave and other dance-floor sensations for Cheap, Pomelo, Labworks, Test Tube and Combination Records and re-mixes for Pulp, Chicks on Speed, Stereo Total und Divine, to name but a few.
