Kill is a four-divided force; a blast of energy coming from four different corners of Norway’s relentless music scene. Together they have one aim: to give you a concert to remember.
Having to face up to the fact that the Kill members already have a full plate with their main bands, Kill concerts become exclusive events, a blossom of pent-up energy for the few to see, a comet passing by once every year. Kill kills the borders between metal, rock and power electronics, and the result is not what you think. Combining electric electronic chaos with digital precision, genres melt and music emerges that one would ever think of experiencing live. Without a single record released and only rumors promising they’ll do so, Kill has stirred a buzz from rave live reviews and rehearsed tapes come astray.
Martin Horntveth
is known as the drummer and organizer of Jaga Jazzist
(Smalltown Supersound, Ninja Tune) and through his drill´n´bass solo project released under his own name. Stage performances dripping with energy and musical discharge has taken Martin and his drums away from the usual back of the stage and into the face of the audience. In Kill he takes care of electronic drums, vocals and electronics.
Are Mokkelbost
has recently released a double debut with electronic improvisers ARM, on the Melektronikk label out of Oslo, Norway. Moreover, he is known as Single Unit, a solo project where he cultivates musical violence by merging elements of metal, electronic and improvised music, forming a strangely natural hybrid of extreme music’s. The full-length album "Family Of Forces" on Jester Records gained critical acclaim on release, and Are´s live performances has stirred the desire for a follow up. In Kill Are plays synth, electronics and computer, in addition to programming and vocals.
Erlend Mokkelbost
has been the driving force in the band JR Ewing throughout its five year existence, a band that is a hybrid between noisy rock´n´roll, modern punk rock and hardcore. Regarded as one of Norway’s most exciting live acts, JR Ewing has gotten a lot of experience after six European tours and two American in addition to numerous shows around Scandinavia. After a successful release on GSL (Gold Standard Laboratories) last year, they are now record their third album in early ´05. In Kill Erlend plays guitar.
Espen Hangård
is the driving force and vocalist in No Place To Hide, a band that has pushed its avant death metal for over ten years and is completing a new record these days. Three words: Tight, brutal and smart.
