The newest member to the Aesthetics roster. Germany's Kpt.michi.gan's (aka: Michael Beckett) has very quietly released a full length on Belgium's Trim label (sub-label of Kraak3), and a split 12inch with Schneider TM (who he performs live with) on City Slang. He has remixed tracks from: Pulseprogramming, Calexico, Tennis, Shinsei and Schneider TM, and has tracks on compilations out on Mute, Kraak3 and Tigerbeat6. But the word is out and people are starting to discover his strange blend of minimalistic experimentation and electro pop. On his computer, Kpt uses noise, drones, soundscapes, guitars, clicks, sonic trash and fragments of melodies to create his funky tracks. His new full length dropped in 2003 on Aesthetics is titled "Player Player".
