Kraftpost is the rock’n’ blues one-man band project of Konrad Wilde (b. 1976). Berlin based Wilde’s urban blues performances come to life on stage via a lo-fi set up: Perched on a stool, he plays base drum, hi-hat, guitar, amp. Megaphone. His melancholy lyrics barely discernable phrases in German: laughing the whole day, Bockwurst preparation and other delicately prosaic subjects that are sung/shouted into his megaphone.
Kraftpost has released a full-length CDr album titled
KARACHO, and is preparing for the release of the follow-up.
Wilde formed half of a short-lived drums/guitar/noise duo with Australian guitarist Ian Wadley by the name of Doublevision, and is currently a member of the more enduring group, Nonostar. With band mates Alex Stolze, and Fabian Wilde, Konrad Wilde performs exclusive shows at intimate venues in Berlin and further a field. Nonostar are a self-styled ‘post-fluxus’ phenomenon and make pop music. They released a single in 2007,
Shine Some More, on Earsugar’s Jukebox 7” series, and have several CDr albums to their credit.
