Verena Kuni is Professor for Visual Culture at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. She lectures internationally and publishes widely in international print and online media. Since 1997 she has run her own art radio show on radio x ffm. From 1995 to 1999 she worked as curator for the Kasseler Dokumentarfilm & Videofest; since 1999 she has been the director of the interfiction conference for art, media and network cultures also in Kassel. Her research, teaching, lectures, projects and publications are devoted to contemporary arts and media cultures, their histories and futures. Current projects focus on D.I.Y. and prosumer cultures; media of imagination – imagination of media; technologies of transformation; toys, games and play; transfers between media and material cultures and digital decay.
