Hans-Peter Lindstrøm was raised in a small mining town in Norway listening to folk music and playing in cover bands. Lindstrøm set up Feedelity to release his productions in 2003, and a steady stream of well-received singles followed, collected on the compilation album It’s a Feedelity Affair (2006). After countless remixes and acclaimed collaborations with Prins Thomas, came the release of his first solo album proper, Where You go I go Too (2007), released on Oslo’s Smalltown Supersound. Growing up in Stavanger, Norway, Lindstrøm was involved in the Lutheran church gospel choirs and played in bands. He played Keyboard and guitar in country and rock bands in the 90s before getting exposure to club culture in 1999 by going out to funk and soul discos. The possibilities inherent in working solo led him into electronic music, beginning with a cheap digital Korg 8-track, and moving on to a computer with very limited processing power. Collaborations with Prins Thomas began around the same time after they met in an Oslo club; as Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas, they began working on a live show and productions that garnered attention for eclecticism and subtle attention to detail. When performing, the pair purveyed a mixture of laptop with Ableton and keyboards, vinyl, CDs and effects. Hermansen and Lindstrøm collaborated on productions for both Feedelity and Eskimo Recordings, including two full lengths and remixes for the likes of Franz Ferdinand and LCD Soundsystem. Lindstrøm has also collaborated with vocalists on and off including Oslo resident Christabelle Solale.
 
Lindstrøm’s breakthrough classic "I Feel Space" (Feedelity) appeared in the summer of 2005; a dramatic disco anthem that challenged the minimal hegemony and heralded a new kind of all encompassing dance music: melodic, emotive and non linear, its kitsch driven sense of timelessness drawing parallels with New York’s old Paradise Garage and the Larry Leven sound. In 2006, Feedelity brought out It’s A Feedelity affair – a compilation of the first nine Lindstrøm EPs from between 2003 and 2006 rounding-up of some of the greater and lesser-known dancefloor orientated Lindstrøm tracks. After strings of singles, a compilation album, and over thirty remixes since 2003, Lindstrøm’s long overdue debut album was finally released in early 2008 on Smalltown Supersound. Comprising just three long tracks that clocked in at just under an hour, Lindstrøm had indulged his influences and ideas to the limit on album that was hailed as the work of a true auteur, drawing comparisons with Cerrone, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, and Michael Shrieve.
 
In 2008, Lindstrøm set-up Strømland Records with Joakim Haughland of Smalltown Supersound, with the debut by American artist Dominique Leone, and plans to re-release an album by fellow Norwegian Alf Emil Eik who put out an album on Harvest in 1978.
