Eric Mattson is an independent curator in the fields of the electronic music, new medias and outsider art. Together with Nicole Gringras and project administrator Suzanne St-Denis he forms the curatorial collective Minute. He is also the director of ORAL, a record label and collective vehicle born in 1998 out of collaborations between musicians and sound specialists. Its first goal was to develop and promote the musical creations of its members. Today, an independent music label, ORAL, with more than 50 releases, presents works dedicated to sound explorations.
Mattson has curated content and produced projects for a.o. Symposium ISEA 1995, Media Lounge of the FCMM (Montréal) since 1998, MUTEK (Montréal) 2000 to 2008, Send+Receive (Winnipeg) 2007-2008, Elektra (Montréal) 2008, IDEAL (Nantes), Garage (Stralsund), CTM, Transmediale and Tesla (Berlin).
