Miss Kittin is Caroline Herve, a former contemporary and graphic arts student, who concentrated on her other passion, music, in the early 90s. She spent a couple of years raving before performing her first set in 1994, and becoming a regular at parties in her native southern France, playing hard-edged techno and electro. She moved to Geneva, Switzerland in 1996 where she joined the Mental Groove Records crew. Together with The Hacker, she produced her "Champagne!" EP (1998) and later "Frank Sinatra" for DJ Hell's International Deejay Gigolos label and achieved instant fame for her French-accented icy cold proclamation "Do you know Frank Sinatra? - He's dead...". Since then there have been further releases on Gigolo and a many collaborations (Felix Da Housecat, Golden Boy) and remixes on other labels. She is a frequent guest on the dancefloors of the worl and already performed at club transmediale last year.
