Mo is one of the co-founders of the Berlin-based Elektro Music Department label (with Daniel Pflumm, El Puma and Kotai), known for its persuasive convergence of music and visual concept. Mo is a DJ and producer with a unique, pure and kicking style of minimal-techno and since the early nineties one of the key figures of the Berlin Techno and club culture. Mo has performed repeatedly at the CTM festival since its first installment in 1999, has toured extensively through the worlds leading electronic music clubs and has been invited to many major events around the globe, such as the Venice Biennial, Museum Louisiana, Humlebaek (Denmark), Festival Of Visions, Hong Kong, Sonic Acts Festival, Amsterdam, Oblique LU Nights, Nantes. Before becoming a professional musician Mo studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf as a student of Gerhard Richter. Besides her creative work as a musician she gives workshops such as "What is Techno?" at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna or for the new SoundXchange class at the Universität der Künste, Berlin.
