Michala Østergaard-Nielsen has been educated at The Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and Malmö. She is a very personal musician and is described as "having an almost zen-like attitude towards drumming, improvisation and music." She explores the world of percussion both rhytmically as well as soundwise with a great amount of sensitivity and awareness. Michala is a highly skilled percussionistand an unique voice within the Nordic music scene.
