The work of Nira Pereg looks at first to be highly aesthetic, but on closer inspection, the viewer is irrecoverably drawn into the unpleasant and dreadful realms of reality. Nira Pereg was born in 1969 in Tel Aviv. She has participated in exhibitions in Tel Aviv, Berlin, Lissabon and Tokyo among others, and in 2005/6 has a guest professorship at the HfG Karlsruhe.
