PRSZR (pronounced "pressure"), a collaboration between the Polish percussion duo Hati and Austrian electronics veteran Pure, combines computer-generated sounds with ritualistic percussion. Complex, syncopated polyrhythms intertwine with drones played on gongs and pulsating bass waves in a hypnotic, cathartic performance. Hati was founded by Rafał Iwański and Darek Wojtaś in 2001 based on a mutual fascination with the sound of ethnic and found acoustic instruments. Pure has been making electronic music since 1992 and established the Wasted Festival together with Jason Forrest. PRSZR was formed in 2008. Their debut album will be released by Swiss label Hinterzimmer Records in early 2012, accompanied by a tour through several European cities.
