Masha Qrella, a Berlin native, helped form Mina and Contriva in 1995. She played keyboards in Mina and guitar and bass in Contriva. Critics praised the work Mina put out on the dynamic Bungalow label and Contriva's releases on Monika. Mina supported Calexico and Stereolab on their European tours.
2004 saw the release of “Unsolved Remained” on Morr Music. On the album, Masha proves her songwriting skills, taking the listener off into a world of warm and delicate sounds. She is currently on tour, this time performing her minimalist, melodious lo-fi songs for US audiences.
