Maja Ratkje is one of the most interesting experimental performers around today. Aided by electronic instruments and Theremin she alienates, multiplies and modulates her vocal improvisations. Part of the Noise duo, Fe-Mail, and the Anarcho-Improv band, Spunk, she has also collaborated on numerous projects with Jaap Blonk, Lasse Marhaug, Merzbow and the Norwegian Noise Orchestra, amongst others. A further project, Voice, consists of Ratjke, Jazzkammer and video artist HC Gilje. Ratkje releases on Rune Grammofon, Zeromoon, Ohm Records and ECM.
