Matthieu Saladin is an artist, musician and researcher. His artistic practice follows a conceptual approach. He is particularly interested in the history of musical forms and processes of creation, and the relationship between art and society. He has a PhD in Aesthetics and is a Researcher Associate at the IDEAT (University Paris 1 - Panthéon-Sorbonne, CNRS). His research focuses on the aesthetics of experimental music. He teaches history and aesthetics of popular music in the FLSH Lille and is coeditor of Volume, the magazine of popular music (Seteun editions).
