Scanner a.k.a. Robin Rimbaud probably needs no introduction. Best known for his 'telephone terrorism' activities, he has released numerous releases on a variety of labels. He has also collaborated with what sounds like a 'who's who' of contemporary electronic music and visual art: artists such as Bryan Ferry and Laurie Anderson, writers David Toop and Simon Armitage, the artist Mike Kelley, amongst others. In addition he has undertaken lecture tours, curated festivals in Utrecht (Impakt) and New York, composed the soundtrack for two ballets and since 1994 he has organised the Electronic Lounge at London's ICA . He runs his own Sulphur label.
