Conceptual and sound artist from the Netherlands, was born 1970. Scheerder studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. His work is marked by a distinct preoccupation for strong sounds and musical subcultures. He has produced for and shown work at a.o. SMART Museum of Art, Chicago; Medien.Kunstlabor, Graz; Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich; Festival Garage, Stralsund; Migros Museum, Zürich and released various records.
