Mark Terkessidis studied psychology and holds a Ph.D. in pegagogy. From 1992 to 1994 he was editor of the pop culture-magazine Spex. He has published on youth and pop culture, war, migration and racism. He co-founded the Institute for Studies in Visual Culture and works as a radio-moderator for WDR.
