Testphase is a Barcelona based collective consisting of Christian Schwärmer (AT – Design) and Octavi Lobo (ES – Coding). As artists, graphic and web designers, and software engineers they are dealing with new algorithmic and semantic relationships between music and animation. Testphase employ a wide spectrum of computer-coded sound analyses for their visuals, creating an image/motion-graphic aesthetic that is clearly connected to electronic sounds. With live VJ performances all over Spain (including the Sonar festival) their reputation is now spiralling.
