Born in the german capitol of Free Jazz, Wuppertal, Tim Tetzner started networking with the usual media as fanzine editor, tape label runner and freelance concert promoter at an early stage. Starting from the scratch with a musical background in Post-punk, Dub Reggae and Experimental Rock, the early nineties kicked with Detroit Techno and the rising UK Intelligent Techno scene to the boundaries of abstract electronic music. Working as a freelance music journalist for a wide range of magazines connected him with, and made him start working for German music television VIVA. Co-hosting their special interest format, HouseTV, soon let his interest in dancefloor culture and its commercialization fade. With the move over to Berlin in the mid nineties, it was an obvious step to get involved with an emerging scene of digital media art and its opposing experimental music styles. As a founding member of Berlins fine experimental media club space AUSLAND, he continued working as their main booker for another three years. In 2004 he started his work for the prolific STAUBGOLD label as A+R and production manager for another continuously 3 years. In 2003 he opened the well established and still running DENSE record shop, that soon emerged to an important source for the leftfield genres in electronic music and is a steady coorporational partner of Club Transmediale.
His just recent production for Staubgold was to concept and coordinate the remix project
Jukebox Buddha based uppon the works of Chinese sound artist
FM3 and their acclaimed Buddha Machine.
