Johannes Theurer is a journalist, radio moderator, project manager and a man who loves to travel. For many years he was to be heard on now closed Radio Multikulti for which he developed the "world music" format. In 1991 he initiated the monthly "World Music Charts Europe", a program on WDR Funkhaus, which he coordinates and presents to this day. He also hosts a monthly show at SWR2 and more shows at a number of other radio stations. Apart from radio he writes for music magazines, is involved in music festivals and aggregates music for Europeana – Euope’s new online archive whose purpose is  to preserve and make accessible the cultural heritage of the continent. Johannes Theuer also used to play bass guitar musician in a number of bands.
