Founded the label privatelektro in the year 2000 together with C. Wruck. triPhaze is a musician and artist, who works in the contexts of digital music, media-art, networking and video. For his live-performances he uses fieldrecordings, samples, digital & analog synths and a laptop. Visual elements like ive-generated flash-animations, videos, analog and digital pictures form a very important aspect of his performances.
His live performances are more ambient-like – cluttered sounds and hypnotic noise loops, white noise and sub-bass.Most of the time he creates a very emotional atmospheres that take the audience on a trip through time and (dark) imagination. His video works and installations have been shon internationally at places like: Gallery of Contemporary Art, Leipzig; Nextwave Festival 2004, Australia; Saidye Bronfman Centre of the Arts, Montreal; The Arches, Glasgow; Stuttgarter Filmwinter; Academy of Visual Arts, Leipzig, 2004 Gwangju Biennale, South Korea and more..
