// Free radio project
reboot.fm is an independent radio station based in Berlin. It will broadcast the CTM programme as an Internet-Stream and on Offener Kanal, Berlin’s public access channel. Together CTM and reboot.fm host an open discussion round on the state of open-access broadcasting.
reboot.fm is also an Open Source Software Development project. The project 's core is a free radio tool-kit: a software platform which will facilitate the world-wide exchange of programme contents between non-commercial free radios. reboot.fm thus aims to combine the possibilities of international Internet networking with the strengths of local terrestial radio, which is accessible to a much wider public. A newly for reboot.fm developed copyright licence will prevent commercial exploitation of unpaid radio production, whilst facilitating programme exchange between independent radio stations.
