Soundinstallation
Singuhr – Hörgalerie in Parochial
02. – 13/02/2005
This installation is an impressively physical experience. A speaker mounted onto a rotating arm scans the space for visitors like a watchdog. The reactions of the ensemble resemble a caged but untamed animal, that gets stirred up or calms down depending on the visitors’ behavior. It builds up a physically tangible relationship with the visitor, since it is the game of attraction and repulsion between machine and visitor that determines its sound and movement.
