Marking out Montréal as an electronic music landmark, MUTEK continues to redefine the territories at the intersection of music and digital culture. In its 6th edition in 2005, the five day festival presented more than 100 artists from 15 countries as well as panel discussions and workshops focussing on music, sound and new technologies. MUTEK has had incarnations in Mexico, Chile and China promoting dialogue with local artists, producers and organizations as well as affiliated events in France, Germany, Spain and the United States. Expanding the network even further, MUTEK comprises MUTEK_Rec, a label publishing local talent and international guests, and other related music events in Montréal throughout the year.
