Based in The Hague, the Generator Foundation is the Dutch nerve-center of a local and international network that explores and promotes innovation in art and music, with technology as a common thread. The organization initiates projects including the annual Today’s Art – International Festival for Art, Music & Technology (formally the successful Cultuurnacht series), and works in collaboration with other entities to promote and provide a platform for emerging talent. Projects draw together cinema, music, new media and art, establishing meaningful interactions between culture producers and consumers and encouraging crossover between fields. The Generator has partnerships with Detroit Electronic Music Festival, MUTEK (Montreal), Sonar (Barcelona) and club transmediale (Berlin).
