The word-play ORTEM – METRO leads to the core idea of this work: an examination of transit passages and infrastructure, a cinematic reflection of the social and cultural dispositives of urban spaces and the Non-Places, that own neither identities nor histories. Originally from Poland, Viennese video artist Kowalski, previously known under the name Krzeczek, regulary works with Stefan Nemeth and the latter's band project Radian.
