Birgit Glatzel [DE]
animation, 2007
Part II of Glatzel’s "Father Trilogy" traces back the roots of her childhood. Her father’s obsession to save everything from falling into oblivion led him to the compulsive habit of photographing the fireworks on New Year’s Eve for over 24 years. Glatzel unearthed the photographs from her father’s archives and re-arranged them into an animation-film that will be screened on the giant LED-installation of dutch artist group
Kunstlicht in MAO’s 2nd hall.
