Berlin's taxi prices
the official taxi prices are obligatory for all taxi companies. The taximeter must be turned at the beginning of the trip, otherwise there's no insurance in case of an accident. Exception: for trips outside the duty area (city and Schönefeld) a price can be agreed before the trip.
> basic fee: 2,50 Euro
> normal price: first 7km: 1,53 Euro/km , after that 1,02 Euro/km
> short distance price: for short distances until 2 kilometers and no longer than 10 minutes : 3,00 Euro. This price is only valid when catching a driving taxi, not for taxis waiting at a taxi station. If you'd like to interrupt the trip, you will have to pay the normal price. If you exceed the distance or time limit, an adjustment to the new price conditions will be made.
