The work of Berlin artist and film curator Florian Wüst engages with the appropriation and re-enactment of subject matter inspired by historical documents, which often relates to events and personalities in post-1945 Germany. From this ensue installations comprising video, radio plays and large-format graphic murals. Wüst has recently transferred this form of graphic abstraction to animations, in which symbolic gestures of political power are repeated ad absurdum. At CTM.08 Wüst will present a monitor-sized animation and a wall drawing, part of the series of work he will be exhibiting concurrently at the gallery, Visite Ma Tente.
