Timm Ringewaldt is a Berlin based visual artist focused on dissecting images and rearranging pixels in new ways. Mainly working with self-shot footage, his style is inspired by Pop-art and Cubism, but also by the aesthetics of surveillance camera-images. His interactive installations and performances, which have been shown at international festivals, are often created for a specific social environment and play with their spectators and the linear flow of time. Under the name monitor.automatique he spent a long time working as a VJ in clubs and at festivals, lately his projects focus on theatre and architecture. For CTM.08 Ringewaldt will once again create an unusual information system, that provides visitors with all the necessary info on the festival and program.
