We will perform connections between different media focusing on the unexpected relations that may explode between domains and disparate natures. We will develop this session with a mixture of storytelling about beings like symbionts and hybrids and the actual work interconnecting different electronic species. The aim of this session will be to work towards the creation of bastard beings coming out from the connection of devices built during the previous workshops. We will interface them with Pure Data to bring together narrative and electronics.
Symbionts will emerge from the mix of Schmidt triggers and writing machines, loquacious hybrids will be filtered by our newly built units and will influence samples and texts with our theremin sensors. How these interconnections may expand depends on our ability to find special narrative niches for the newly born creatures. Bastard natures will end up with a noisy and performative celebration of impurity.
