If the current trend of increasing digital sales continues, it will become increasingly interesting economically for music labels to work "digital-only". What inevitably results is a formal convergence with the so-called netlabels, which have mostly been described as part of a non-commercial amateur culture up to now. What both have in common is that it is only as a result of the support of their communities that they prosper. Which parameters, however, respectively define success for the different models? The panel addresses the motivations and perspectives of individual activists between the conscious rejection of economic exploitation and the search for alternative possibilities for the creation of value.
