In her exhibition Marisa Maza examines the relationship between space, gender and the body in the context of sports and thus proceeds the ongoing series of exhibitions on spatial concepts and contemporary architecture at the uqbar project space. Maza presents new videos, that depict US-american athlets at work out in a gym. The chosen camera angle reveals how the movements of the athletes’ bodies are defined by the static space of the training hall. A soundtrack by Berlin musician Jayrope complements the images.
