Festival, London, UK.
Alpha-ville is a not-for-profit organization exploring how digital technologies are shaping society and enabling new possibilities for the arts and for culture. The organization promotes and supports digital culture in all its forms through an annual festival and wider activities.
Alpha-ville Festival is a one of a kind event in the London cultural scene, featuring art, technology, music and web culture. The festival presents a unique combination of music, films, digital and new media art exhibitions, community events, urban interventions, workshops, labs, talks and innovative educational activities. A symposium is carefully designed to allow artists, creative technologists, professionals, thinkers, policy makers and organizations to learn, connect, network and share new ideas.
In its first three years, Alpha-ville Festival has established itself firmly on the International Digital Arts and Culture panorama. Grounded in the community of East London and with an international profile, the festival has previously worked with artists, speakers and creative individuals including: Pantha Du Prince, Matthew Dear, Jon Hopkins, Jacaszek, Keiichi Matsuda, Aaron Koblin, Hackney Hear, Moritz Stefaner, Tom Uglow, Olivia Solon, Scott Snibbe, Bill Thompson, David O’Reilly, Carsten Nicolai, Nicolas Provost and Michael Please.
